Click on whichever folder that applies to you and see if there are any .bak files of your old or missing characters.

  2. after reinstalling terraria, checking my recycle bin for my character, checking the cloud save, and other ways to fix the error. the only way ive found to somewhat fix your character is restarting it but not completely.

  3. 10 de dez. de 2022 · I had a character that has nearly 200 hours that I log onto to see Unknown Error, I have tried almost everything I found. My character never had a backup file for some reason. I think my character had this happen due to my game crashing twice while me trying to load into a world.

  5. Hello, I decided to hop on terraria again but my character was back like new with an unknown error in the name. its vanilla and not on the steam cloud so I don't know what to do.

(tmodloader) I went to the player files and didnt see my backup file, then I checked my recycling bin and found it there, I transfered the .bak I found in the bin to the player folder, and replaced the messed up .plr file. (obviously removing the ".bak" part as well)After logging in ...
