Oficialmente ela é conhecida como Rua Nova do Carvalho, mas o nome Rua Cor de Rosa acabou surgindo após um projeto de intervenção urbana em 2011, que foi consolidado em 2013.
Pink Street is the nightlife center of Lisbon. O fficially called Rua Nova do Carvalho, this small pedestrian street is better known as “Pink Street” since 2013, when an urban renewal project painted the pavement between the terraces, bars and clubs in pink.

The best time to visit the pink street for pictures, is very different from the best time to visit for something to do. You may have to visit twice if you want both.
Lisbon’s pink street is very short! By my unofficial Google maps measurements, only about 60 metres (~200 feet) long. This is a slow travelblog, but even I wouldn’t suggest you allocate a lot of time to see it. When I was trying to measure it, I found this street view image from 2009, before it was painted. Just thought it was interesting!
