It was co-written and recorded for over a year in what would be the first and final collaboration between vocalist David Coverdale and guitarist John Sykes, the final album to feature longtime bassist Neil Murray and the only album with drummer Aynsley Dunbar.

Trouble is the debut studio album from British hard rock band Whitesnake, led by former Deep Purple vocalist David Coverdale. It reached No. 50 on the UK Albums Chart when it was released in October 1978. This followed the four track EP Snakebite, later available in the US as an import album from continental Europe.
More recently Neil has performed in the very successful London West End musical We Will Rock You featuring the music of Queen. He continues to tour and record with M3 Classic Whitesnake, plus Bernie Marsden's own band, and sessions include an appearance with guitarist Rolf Munkes's Empire project.
