Michael "Mike" Schmidt is the former security guard of the abandoned Freddy Fazbear's Pizza location. After being traumatized by the kidnapping of his younger brother Garrett Schmidt and the fate of his parents, Mike was left alone to take care of his younger sister Abby Schmidt.
Sometime later, mall security guard Mike Schmidt is fired for assaulting a negligent father whom he mistook for a kidnapper. Mike's career counselor, Steve Raglan, offers him a job as a night guard at the pizzeria.
