Michael "Mike" Schmidt is the main protagonist of the Five Nights at Freddy's film. He is a poor man who decides to take the job of the night-shift security guard for the abandoned Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place.
He is portrayed by Josh Hutcherson as an adult and Wyatt M. Parker as a child.
Mike presents as a young, light-skinned male with brown hair and eyes. During his interview, he dons a grey shirt paired with a yellow tie, reflecting a simple and practical wardrobe. He also tends to have a big tired face, due to his messy personality and lack of sleep throughout the night.

He challenges Vanessa and Aunt Jane when he suspects deceit, driven by a deep-seated mistrust. Although occasionally prone to anger, such as the incident with the mistaken kidnapping, it is a rare occurrence, typically reserved for moments related to unraveling the truth about his brother's disappearance or confronting William Afton.
