Em Gênesis 1, é Deus quem cria, por meio de sua Palavra e pelo seu Espírito (Gn 1: 1-3). Às vezes essa referência no plural parece ainda mais notável, feita de forma explícita com o uso de verbos e pronomes nas pessoas do plural; por exemplo, “Então disse Deus: Façamos o homem à nossa imagem...”
