Detective Eric Matthews is a fictional character from the Saw franchise. Portrayed by Donnie Wahlberg, he first appeared in a mockumentary entitled Full Disclosure Report: Piecing Together Jigsaw, featured on the uncut version of the original film.
However, Jigsaw directed Matthews to a room filled with monitors, showing eight captives trapped in the Nerve Gas House, one of them being his son Daniel. Jigsaw told Matthews the rules of his game are that he must simply sit down and talk to Jigsaw for the next two hours.

O detetive Eric Matthews consegue prender Jigsaw, o qual está morrendo. Sinopse. Enquanto investiga um sangrento assassinato, o Detetive Eric Matthews (Donnie Wahlberg) presume que o autor do crime seja Jigsaw (Tobin Bell), o notório assassino desaparecido.
