The belief that God became the Universe is a theological doctrine that has been developed several times historically, and holds that the creator of the universe actually became the universe.

The three scriptural accounts all agree that “in the beginning” God created the heavens and the earth. But this is not the beginning of the entire universe, as the account in Moses makes clear: “Behold, I reveal unto you concerning this heaven, and this earth” (Moses 2:1; emphasis added).
