Although best remembered today for his landscape and country house designs, he was also nationally known for his etchings, landscape paintings, commercial architecture, and institutional projects.

Charles Adams Platt, FAIA, was an architect, painter, and etcher. He studied at the Art Students League and National Academy of Design in the late 1870s, followed by further study in Paris.
