Planned to open by the end of 2024, the new facilities will be located at bp’s existing global headquarters for its Castrol business in Pangbourne, Berkshire, and will support the technology, engineering and science roles housed there today.
The technology centre has been at Whitchurch Hill, Pangbourne, for over 40 years. Today it boasts advanced performance testing facilities such as small-scale component test rigs, full engine test cells, vehicle test chassis dynamometers and analytical laboratories.

The Castrol Technology Centre is a research institute owned by BP in South Oxfordshire, north of Whitchurch-on-Thames . History. Castrol was founded by C.C.Wakefield in 1899, making lubricants (Wakefield lubricator) for railways.
