29 de ago. de 2018 · Learn about the controversial cover art of Blind Faith, a 1969 rock supergroup featuring Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood. The cover featured a nude 11-year-old girl named Mariora Goschen, who was paid £40 for the photo shoot.
Album cover. The cover was a photo by Bob Seidemann of a topless 11-year-old girl, Mariora Goschen, holding a silver-painted model of an aircraft, sculpted for the album shoot by Mick Milligan. The cover was mildly controversial in the British press, with some seeing the model airplane as phallic.
Best of Cream reached No. 3 in the Billboard charts at the same time that Blind Faith was at the top. The cover art for the album was created by photographer Bob Seidemann, a personal friend and former flatmate of Clapton, who is known primarily for his photos of Janis Joplin and the Grateful Dead.
