  3. Oh, and there's Mrs. Bickerman (Betty White), who lives in a cute little farm cottage on the shores of the lake and lost her husband a few years ago. That's her story, anyway. Whether the movie was intended at any point to be a serious monster thriller, I cannot say.

  4. Betty White, in particular (a woman known- and revered- for her love of animals), was brilliant as the 'gator-feeding granny-type. I agree with the reviewer who felt that the cheesy cgi were in keeping with the overall tone of the movie.
