Coco Before Chanel (French: Coco avant Chanel) is a 2009 biographical drama film directed and co-written by Anne Fontaine. The film stars Audrey Tautou and details the early life of French fashion designer Coco Chanel. The film premiered in Paris on 6 April 2009 and was released in France and Belgium on 22 April 2009.
She was acclaimed for her role in the World War I drama A Very Long Engagement (2004), and for her portrayal of French fashion designer Coco Chanel in the biographical drama Coco avant Chanel (2009). She has been nominated three times for the César Award and twice for the BAFTA for Best Actress in a leading role.
Em 1998 Tautou participou de um casting em um canal de televisão francês, chamado "Jeunes Premiers", e ganhou na categoria Melhor Atriz Jovem no 9° Festival de Béziers. Depois participou do filme Venus Beauty Institute, pelo qual ganhou o César de Melhor Atriz Revelação.
