Steven initially had thought that Aquamarine is a Gem with no ill intent until he realized that she was on Earth to collect more humans for the Zoo, specifically, Steven's friends. Aquamarine, just like most other Homeworld Gems, thinks Steven is Rose Quartz.
Aquamarines are very short in stature, but they make up for it with their ability to fly with water wings, in a similiar way to Lapis Lazulis . All Aquamarines shown have had a small blue bow in their hair, which has on one occasion proven to be a wand capable of radiate a cyan-colored tractor beam.
