  1. By automatically determining the download speed, CAKE adapts to changes in the network conditions and ensures that traffic shaping and queuing algorithms are adjusted to optimize the utilization of available bandwidth. It's worth noting that while CAKE can estimate the download speed based on packet arrival times, it does not have direct ...

Mine is a simple queue with these queue types. 6 name="cake_vdsl2_DL" kind=cake cake-bandwidth=0bps cake-overhead=38 cake-mpu=68. cake-atm=ptm cake-overhead-scheme="" cake-rtt=100ms. cake-rtt-scheme=internet cake-diffserv=besteffort. cake-flowmode=dual-dsthost cake-nat=yes cake-wash=yes cake-ack-filter=none.

  5. Very likely. No matter how fast your internet connection is, if another program or person on your network competes for bandwidth, the packets will be processed at the same priority, resulting in increased latency (or worse, packet loss) for your game or other interactive applications.

  7. CAKE according to some sources is quite compute-intensive so I'm wondering if using it on HeX won't limit my bandwidth? Currently I have bandwidth limited to max speed of 60Mbps but in the future ISP might increase it to about 120Mbps. About 5-10 devices are using the network concurrently.
