Frankenstein is a British horror-adventure film series produced by Hammer Film Productions. The films, loosely based on the 1818 novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus by Mary Shelley , are centered on Baron Victor Frankenstein , who experiments in creating a creature beyond human.

Baron Frankenstein, with the aid of a young doctor and his fiancée, kidnaps the mentally sick Dr. Brandt in order to perform the first brain transplant operation.
The creature is tormented by a trapped soul in an alien shell and, after a visit to his wife who violently rejects his monstrous form, the creature wreaks his revenge on the perpetrator of his misery: Baron Frankenstein.

For the 200th anniversary of the publication of Mary Shelley's novel "Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus," I re-read it and, then, reviewed a bunch of Frankenstein films.
