21 de jun. de 2023 · The Fagel Collection is one of the jewels in the Library’s collections and is regarded as one of the most important private libraries in early modern Europe. The collection was amassed by five generations of the Fagel family – many of whom held high public office in the Netherlands.
Purchased for Trinity College in 1802, what is now known as the Fagel Collection was assembled over a period of a century and a half by several generations of the Fagel family, including the senior Dutch politician Hendrik Fagel (1765-1838).
