17 de jun. de 2020 · Embora seja obvio a representação de Ryuk como a própria morte, já que essa é a função dos Shinigamis na mitologia japonesa, à medida que a história de Death Note vai avançando fica cada vez mais claro que a própria personalidade e inevitabilidade de Ryuk são características inerentes a morte.

The manga has many references to other pieces of well known literature like Sherlock Holmes and Julius Caesar. It has overtones of christianity, references to the bible, as well as symbols related to biblical stories.
