Michael Rother (German: [ˈmɪçaːʔeːl ˈʁoːtɐ]; born 2 September 1950) is a German experimental musician, best known for being a founding member of the influential bands Neu! and Harmonia, and an early member of the band Kraftwerk.
Karriere. 1965 bis 1971 spielte Michael Rother als Gitarrist in der Düsseldorfer Band Spirits of Sound. 1971 hatte er als Mitglied der Gruppe Kraftwerk einen Auftritt im Beat-Club. 1971 bis 1975 musizierte er in der Gruppe NEU! mit Klaus Dinger. 1973 bis 1976 führte die Zusammenarbeit mit Dieter Moebius und Hans-Joachim Roedelius in der Gruppe Harmonia zu zwei LP-Veröffentlichungen.

Katzenmusik is the third studio album by the German solo artist Michael Rother. It was released in 1979 and includes the single "Katzenmusik 9" b/w "Katzenmusik 2". The album was recorded between March and July 1979 in Germany at Rother's own studio in Forst and Conny's Studio.
