The Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium (Greek: Στάδιο Γεώργιος Καραϊσκάκης), commonly referred to as the Karaiskakis Stadium (Greek: Στάδιο Καραϊσκάκη, [ˈstaðio karaiˈskaki]), is a football stadium in Piraeus, Attica, Greece, and the home ground of the Piraeus football club Olympiacos.
The new “Georgios Karaiskakis EOE” was built at the place of the historic stadium that, for decades, used to be the OLYMPIACOS home ground. The Karaiskakis was constructed within a record-breaking time span of 14 months or 428 days, to be more precise.
Karaiskakis Stadium is a short walk away from Piraeus city centre, which has a good variety of shops, bars, and restaurants. The main avenues are Iroon Polytechneiou and Grigoriou Labraki. The stadium is, however, also easy to reach from Athens’ city centre, so you can also opt to eat and drink there and then catch the metro to the stadium.

The Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium is often referred to simply as The Karaiskakis Stadium. It is named after a hero of the Greek War of Independence, Field Marshal Georgios Karaiskakis. A sports venue was originally built on the spot where the current ground stands in time for the 1896 Summer Olympics.
