Hong Kong está localizado na costa sul da China, a 60 km a leste de Macau, no lado oposto do delta do Rio das Pérolas. É cercada pelo Mar da China Meridional, a leste, sul e oeste, e pelas fronteiras da cidade de Shenzhen e da província de Guangdong, ao norte sobre o rio Shenzhen.
Hong Kong is on China's southern coast, 60 km (37 mi) east of Macau, on the east side of the mouth of the Pearl River estuary. It is surrounded by the South China Sea on all sides except the north, which neighbours the Guangdong city of Shenzhen along the Sham Chun River.
