Cuttack (/ ˈ k ʌ t ə k / ⓘ, or officially Kataka in Odia [ˈkɔʈɔkɔ]), is the former capital and the second largest city in the Indian state of Odisha. It is the headquarters of the Cuttack district.

O nome da cidade é uma forma anglicizada de Katak que significa literalmente "O Forte", uma referência ao antigo Forte Barabati em torno do qual a cidade inicialmente se desenvolveu.
