Clannad is a Japanese visual novel developed by Key and released on April 28, 2004, for Windows. While both of Key's first two previous works, Kanon and Air, had been released first as adult games and then censored for the younger market, Clannad was specifically made for all ages.

Clannad (Irish pronunciation: [ˈklˠan̪ˠəd̪ˠ]) are an Irish band formed in 1970 in Gweedore, County Donegal, by siblings Ciarán, Pól and Moya Ui Bhraonáin (in English, Brennan) and their twin uncles Noel and Pádraig Ó Dúgáin (Duggan). They have adopted various musical styles throughout their history.

Clannad (クラナド, Kuranado?, "CLANNAD") is a Japanese visual novel created by the software company Key. Key released a limited version for the PC on 28 April 2004, and the regular version less than four months later on 8 August 2004.
The Clannad anime series has 24 episodes, 23 of which were originally broadcast between October 2007 and March 2008. The last episode was released as an original video animation (OVA) on the eighth DVD in July 2008.
