The X Factor (also known as The X Factor USA) is an American reality television music competition show created by Simon Cowell and produced by FremantleMedia North America and SYCOtv, a partnership between Cowell and Sony Music Entertainment, which aired on Fox.
Season 3 of The X Factor USA ran from 11 September 2013 to 19 December 2013 on FOX. It was won by indie folk-pop duo Alex & Sierra who were mentored by Simon Cowell in the Groups category. They were the first group to win the show and this was Cowell's second win as a mentor.
