Rothbart is the central antagonist of The Swan Princess. He is an evil sorcerer, who is 49, and he mastered the Forbidden Arts twice and he always dreams of marrying Odette so that he can conquer King William 's kingdom and he's the brother of king William.
Sir Rothbart, also known as Lord Rothbart, The Great Animal, or simply Rothbart for short is the main antagonist of The Swan Princess film series. He’s a despicable enchanter who assassinated King William and was responsible for kidnapping and changing his daughter, Princess Odette into a swan.

As Princess Odette and Prince Derek are about to get married, the warlock Sir Rothbart has captured Odette and changed her into a swan. It is up to Derek and three animal friends to save Odette by defeating Rothbart and undo his spell on Odette with a vow of everlasting love.
Plot. King William and his friend Queen Uberta both have a child; Uberta has a son named Derek and William has a daughter named Odette. The two want their children to marry when they grow up so they can unite their two kingdoms forever. However, sorcerer Rothbart plans to take King William's kingdom for himself.
