Early life
HaSeul was born in Suncheon, South Korea, on August 18, 1997. She is the oldest sibling in her family, with one younger brother born in 2002. In elementary school, HaSeul participated in a youth choir which ignited her love of singing. Furthermore, she started studying opera during elementary. 2016: Reveal, solo debut
HaSeul trained under BlockBerryCreative for one year before being selected as the third member of LOONA. This came after months of worry for HaSeul, who believed she would never debut when surrounded by so many other talented trainees. 2017: MIXNINE, LOONA 1/3, “Everyday I Love You”
In October 2017, HaSeul, along with fellow LOONA members HeeJin and HyunJin, auditioned for the survival reality show MIXNINE. Sadly, only HeeJin and HyunJin passed the audition. She was revealed to be a member of LOONA’s first sub-unit, LOONA 1/3, on February 14, 2017. HaSeul was featured on ViVi’s “Everyday I Love You”, where she covered the rap part of the song.
