Salman Betyrovich Raduyev (or Raduev; Russian: Салма́н Бетырович Раду́ев; February 13, 1967 – December 14, 2002) was a Chechen separatist field commander, from 1994 to 1999, who masterminded and was responsible for the Kizlyar hostage taking raid.

15 de dez. de 2002 · Raduyev, who led a notorious raid on a hospital in Dagestan in 1996, was sentenced to life imprisonment for multiple murders and terrorism in 2001. He was captured by Russian forces in Chechnya in 2000 and denied any foul play in his death in 2002.

During the early 1980s Raduyev was active in the Komsomol (Young Communist League) of which he eventually became a leader for the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
