John James Osborne (12 December 1929 – 24 December 1994) was an English playwright, screenwriter, actor, and entrepreneur, who is regarded as one of the most influential figures in post-war theatre. Born in London, he briefly worked as a journalist before starting out in theatre as a stage manager and actor.
After graduating from Cambridge University, William Osborne became a lawyer, but his career took a sharp turn when he switched to screenwriting in Hollywood. He has worked on over 60 movies including Twins, Goldeneye and The Mummy. He lives in Norfolk, England with his wife and four children.
William Osborne is a British barrister, screenwriter, film producer and novelist. He was educated at Gresham’s School, Norfolk, Robert Louis Stevenson School, California and is a Scholar of St John’s College, Cambridge University, (MA in Law 1986).
