Biography. An accomplished molecular biologist, award-winning teacher, and academic leader, Wendy Raymond is the sixteenth President of Haverford College and Professor of Biology. She is recognized nationally for her work on issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion in academia, the sciences, and liberal arts institutions.
Raymond is an award-winning teacher and molecular geneticist who began her academic career at Williams College where she served as Williams’ first associate dean for institutional diversity. She earned her A.B. in chemistry at Cornell University and was an American Cancer Society postdoctoral fellow in genetics at the University of Washington.
