Thutmose II was the fourth Pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt, and his reign is generally dated from 1493 to 1479 BC (Low Chronology). Little is known about him and he is overshadowed by his father Thutmose I, half-sister and wife Hatshepsut, and son Thutmose III.

Tutemés II ou Tutemósis II[ 1] foi o quarto rei da XVIII Dinastia egípcia. O historiador Manetão atribui-lhe um reinado de treze anos, mas este valor é disputado por alguns egiptólogos, que consideram mais provável ter reinado três anos. Deixou poucas inscrições nos monumentos e é pouco referido nas autobiografias da época do Império Novo. [ 2]

He built some minor monuments and initiated at least two minor campaigns but did little else during his rule and was probably strongly influenced by his wife, Hatshepsut.
