The Swinton Estate is a large privately owned estate in North Yorkshire, England. It comprises some 20,000 acres (8,100 ha) of countryside in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, extending 10 miles (16 km) west from the River Ure near Masham.

Swinton Estate is one of the largest privately owned estates in England, situated in North Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Dales. Comprising 20,000 acres, about two thirds of the land is forestry and farmland, and one third open moorland.
Before the Battle of Hastings the Swindon estate was owned by an Anglo-Saxon thane called Leofgeat. After the Norman Conquest, Swindon was split into five holdings: the largest was held between Miles Crispin and Odin the Chamberlain, and the second by Wadard, a knight in the service of Odo of Bayeux, brother of the king.
