The Staunton–Waynesboro Metropolitan Statistical Area is a United States Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) in Virginia, as defined by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). As of the 2020 census, the MSA had a population of 125,433.
Staunton is a city in the Shenandoah Valley in the US state of Virginia. Although small, it is very distinct from neighboring cities such as Harrisonburg , Roanoke , and Waynesboro , in part due to the city government's emphasis on tourism and the very distinct downtown district.
