Scottish Young Greens (SYG) is the independent youth wing of the Scottish Greens. SYG campaign on green politics and youth politics. Membership of the Scottish Young Greens is open to anyone aged 12 to 30 years old, and any student enrolled in higher or further education, so long as they are not members of a rival political party.

Patrick Harvie (born 18 March 1973) is a Scottish politician who served as Minister for Zero Carbon Buildings, Active Travel and Tenants' Rights from 2021 to 2024. He has served as one of two co-leaders of the Scottish Greens [a] since 2008, and is one of the first Green politicians in the UK to serve as a government minister.
