Saint John is an island in the Caribbean Sea. It is a constituent district of the United States Virgin Islands (USVI). It is the smallest of the three main USVI islands. St. John is about 4 miles east of Saint Thomas, and 4 miles south and west of Tortola, part of the British Virgin Islands. It is 50.8 km² (19.61 sq mi) in area.
The United States Virgin Islands, often abbreviated USVI, are a group of islands and cays located in the Lesser Antilles of the Eastern Caribbean, consisting of three main islands (Saint Croix, Saint John, and Saint Thomas) and fifty smaller islets and cays.
As ilhas Virgens Americanas ocupam a parte ocidental das Ilhas Virgens, a leste de Porto Rico. O território inclui três ilhas principais — São Tomás, São João e Santa Cruz — e cerca de cinquenta ilhotas desabitadas. O relevo de origem vulcânica é abrupto.
