Oxford University Boat Club (OUBC) is the rowing club for the University of Oxford, England, located on the River Thames at Oxford. The club was founded in 1829. The prime constitutional aim of OUBC is to beat Cambridge University Boat Club in the annual University Boat Race and Lightweight Boat Races on the River Thames . [1]

History. The Boat Race was first raced by crews from Oxford and Cambridge University in 1829 and is now one of the world’s oldest and most famous amateur sporting events, offering an unrivalled educational experience to the student athletes who take part.
For the 2024 Boat Race men and women from both the openweight and lightweight squads rowed for the first time together under the one club, OUBC.
