Newton North High School, formerly Newton High School, is the larger and longer-established of two public high schools in Newton, Massachusetts, the other being Newton South High School. It is located in the village of Newtonville.
The Newton Public Schools Facilities Department oversees many areas of responsibility across twenty-one school buildings and one administration building. The areas include repair and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and mechanical equipment. The department supervises eighty-five school custodians that are responsible for day-to-day maintenance.
Our Schools. There are 11,717 students (October 2023) enrolled in fifteen elementary schools (K-5), four middle schools (6-8), two comprehensive high schools (9-12), and two alternative high school programs. In addition, our integrated preschool program serves 185 students (October 2023).
