Martin Jurow (December 14, 1911 - February 12, 2004) was a Hollywood agent, executive assistant and film producer. After graduating from the College of William and Mary, he received his law degree from Harvard Law School in 1936 and joined a law firm in New York with show business clients.
The film was one of two features director S. F. Brownrigg made with executive producer Martin Jurow, who had produced Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961). The cast consisted largely of Dallas -based actors and crew members, aside from star Susan Bracken, [4] the daughter of comedian Eddie Bracken .
Produced by Martin Jurow and co-written by Maurice Richlin and Blake Edwards, the screenplay is based on the 1960 novel of the same name by William Goldman. It explores the friendship of an Army master sergeant (Gleason) and a young country bumpkin buck sergeant (McQueen).
