Premiere. 3 October 1804 (1804-10-03) Kleines Kurfürstliches Theater, Dresden. Leonora, ossia L’amore coniugale ( Leonora or Conjugal Love) is an opera (specifically a dramma semiserio) in two acts by the Italian composer Ferdinando Paer.
Orphée et Euridice [1] is a one-act opera, [2] composed by Italian composer Ferdinando Paer in 1791, performed in French with a French-language libretto. [3] . The opera was the first stage work by Paer. [4] . After becoming Maestro di cappella in Parma, he wrote the work.
In 1802, he moved to Paris to work at the newly established Théâtre de l'Opéra-Comique, where he composed several successful operas, including Achille et Deidamie, La Religieuse and Les Deux Journées. Paer's most famous work is probably his opera Agnese, which premiered in Parma in 1809.
