Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz is an American animated children's television series loosely based on L. Frank Baum's 1900 novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and its subsequent books, as well as its 1939 film adaptation.
Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz is an American preschool animated series created by Warner Brothers studios inspired by the Oz books with elements from the 1939 film. Plot. Judy Garland as Dorothy Gale and Terry as Toto. In rural Kansas, Dorothy Gale lives on a farm owned by her Uncle Henry and Aunt Em. Dorothy's neighbor, Almira Gulch, who had been bitten by Dorothy's dog, Toto, obtains a sheriff's order authorizing her to seize Toto. Toto escapes and returns to Dorothy, who runs away to protect him.
In Japan, the series aired on TV Tokyo from 1986 to 1987. [1] . It consists of 52 episodes, which explain other parts of the Oz stories, including the events that happened after Dorothy returned home.
