Maud Hoare, Viscountess Templewood, DBE (née Lady Maud Lygon; 5 July 1882 – 27 December 1962), known as Lady Maud Hoare from 1909 to 1944, daughter of the 6th Earl Beauchamp, was the wife of Sir Samuel Hoare, and a DBE in her own right.
Lady Maud was awarded the DBE in February 1927, and Hoare was awarded the Knight Grand Cross of the British Empire (GBE) in June 1927. Hoare and Lady Maud travelled by air whenever possible, including the first civilian flight to India in 1927. In 1927 he published a book, India by Air.
Lady Maud Lygon, later Lady Maud Hoare, and still later (1944) Viscountess Templewood (5 July 1882 – 27 December 1962) married 1909 Samuel Hoare, 1st Viscount Templewood (1880–1959); they had no issue. Lady Maud was created a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1927.

27 de jul. de 2017 · Sir Samuel handed the silver trowel to his wife Lady Maud who placed some cement onto the foundation. The first stone was lowered by a small crane into place. The Chaplain-in-Chief, the Venerable Robert Edward Vernon Hanson, (1866–1947) said a prayer and then Sir Samuel gave an address, before the parade marched past the saluting base to close the ceremony.
