Honoring Extraordinary Acts of Public Service. For over 50 years, the Jefferson Awards have been the highest and most prestigious honor recognizing public service in the United States. Past recipients include Oprah Winfrey, Former President Jimmy Carter, and Shaquille O'Neal.
