He married Anne Manners, daughter of Thomas Manners, 1st Earl of Rutland.
His grandson Ralph Neville, 4th Earl of Westmorland (1499–1550), was an energetic border warrior, who remained faithful to the royal cause when the other great northern lords joined the Pilgrimage of Grace. He was succeeded by his son Henry, 5th Earl (c. 1525–1563).

HENRY NEVILLE, fifth Earl or Westmorland, [Son of Ralph Neville, fourth Earl ], was born in 1525. 1 He was knighted in 1544, succeeded to the title in 1550, held a commission to divide the debatable land between England and Scotland in 1551, was a privy councillor probably in 1552, and ambassador to Scotland in the same year.
