Fehrbellin liegt etwa 60 km nordwestlich von Berlin und 12 km südlich von Neuruppin. Der namensgebende Kernort der Gemeinde Fehrbellin liegt am Nordrand des Ländchens Bellin, eines kleinen Höhenzuges. Größere Teile des Gemeindegebietes liegen im Havelländischen Luch südlich des Kernortes.
