Delano Ames (May 29, 1906 – January 1987) was an American writer of detective stories. Ames was the author of some 20 books, many of them featuring a husband and wife detective team of amateurs named Dagobert and Jane Brown.

Biographie. Né en Belgique d'un père exerçant la profession de commissaire de police, James Deano grandit à Waterloo. Il se lance dans le rap « classe moyenne » en 1996. En 2003, il sort son premier maxi, " Branleur de Service", puis entame dans la foulée une tournée.

26 de jan. de 2021 · A prolific writer, Ames was a novelist, editor and translator who wrote short stories and articles for British magazines. He published more than 25 books. In 1932 his first book, They Journey by Night was published; it was followed by No Traveller Returns (1934) and A Double Bed on Olympus (1936).
Enquanto vivia em Greenwich Village, Nova Iorque, ela se casou com o escritor Delano Ames (1906-1987), de quem se divorciaria em 1937. Depois de passar quatro anos viajando, especialmente para países como Iugoslávia e Albânia, estabeleceram-se na Inglaterra, com uma casa em Londres e outra, “Yew Tree House”, em St Mary Bourne, Hampshire.
