Daniel Grodnik (born May 30, 1952) is an American film producer living in Los Angeles, California. In 1989/1990, he and partner actor Tim Matheson took over National Lampoon, with Grodnik becoming the company's chairman and CEO. Mr. Grodnik is a member of the Producers Guild of America and the Writers' Guild.

Dan Grodnik optioned the script in 1978 and hired Bennett Tramer to do a rewrite. Half way through the script, Tramer went to Grodnik and told him he had an epiphany, that he couldn't finish the sci-fi script as he just realized he was a comedy writer.
