About. Established in 1892, Conroe ISD is a 348-square-mile school district that is geographically diverse and includes The Woodlands, Shenandoah, Oak Ridge North, Conroe, and Grangerland, as well as several other smaller towns, communities, and unincorporated areas.
The Conroe Independent School District was created by the Commissioners Court of Montgomery County, Texas, July 12, 1892, by consolidating the twelve Common School Districts surrounding Conroe. This area covered 25 square miles. The First Graduates.
