August 19, 1998. Sleepy Hollow Cemetery is a rural cemetery located on Bedford Street near the center of Concord, Massachusetts. The cemetery is the burial site of a number of famous Concordians, including some of the United States ' greatest authors and thinkers, especially on a hill known as "Author's Ridge."

27 de set. de 2022 · Tucked just 1/2 of a mile northeast of Concord’s center – a pleasant ten minute’s stroll on a nice day – lies the peaceful garden plot known as Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. What it lacks in pattern it makes up for in lore; its winding paths are the final resting place for countless historical figures.
Sleepy Hollow Cemetery is the largest cemetery in Concord. It has an estimated 10,000 gravesites, many of local, national, and international interest. It was one of the first cemeteries in the United States to be designed to have a sylvan character and has also been listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, the largest of the three cemeteries, is on the National Registry of Historic Places and extends for two-fifths of a mile on the north side of Bedford Street. Of its estimated 10,000 gravesites, many are of local, national and international significance.
