Côtes-d'Armor is part of the current administrative region of Brittany and is bounded by the departments of Ille-et-Vilaine to the east, Morbihan to the south, and Finistère to the west, and by the English Channel to the north.
Les Côtes-d'Armor (/ k o t d ‿ a ʁ m ɔ ʁ / [a] Écouter ; en breton : Aodoù-an-Arvor / ˈ o ː d u ã ˈ n a r v o r / [b]), appelées Côtes-du-Nord jusqu'en 1990 [2], sont un département français situé en région Bretagne. L'Insee et La Poste lui attribuent le code 22. Sa préfecture et plus grande ville est Saint-Brieuc.
Geography. Overview. The town is located by the English Channel, on the Bay of Saint-Brieuc. Two rivers flow through Saint-Brieuc: the Goued/ Gouët and the Gouedig/ Gouédic . Other towns of notable size in the département of Côtes d'Armor are Gwengamp/ Guingamp, Dinan, and Lannuon/ Lannion all sous-préfectures .
