Benedictus de Spinoza, gelatiniseerde vorm van Baruch Spinoza ( Amsterdam, 24 november 1632 – Den Haag, 21 februari 1677) was een Nederlandse filosoof, politiek denker en exegeet uit de Gouden Eeuw. Hij wordt beschouwd als een van de grondleggers van het rationalisme, en een van de inspiratoren van de Verlichting.
Baruch de Spinoza ( hebräisch ברוך שפינוזה, portugiesisch Bento de Espinosa, latinisiert Benedictus de Spinoza; geboren am 24. November 1632 in Amsterdam; gestorben am 21. Februar 1677 in Den Haag) war ein niederländischer Philosoph. Er war Sohn sephardischer Immigranten aus Portugal und hatte Portugiesisch als Erstsprache. [1] .

Baruch ou Benedictus de Spinoza nasceu no dia 24 de novembro de 1632, na cidade de Amsterdã, na Holanda. Ele foi gerado no âmbito de uma família de judeus, de origem portuguesa. Seus familiares vinham há algum tempo fugindo das garras da Inquisição. Ele era filho de um rico comerciante.
