  7. Peadar O'Donnell was born on 22 February, 1893 on a five acre farm in Meenmore, near Dungloe, County Donegal.1 His father managed the local lime-kiln for the village landlord during winter, and in summer migrated to Scotland to work as an agricultural labourer.
